How to choose the size of the violin?
1. You need to know how big the violin is. Violins available in 8 different sizes: 4/4 (also called full size), 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/10, 1/16 and 1/32. The 4/4 size is the largest and the 1/32 size is the smallest.
2. To measure the size of the violin that best suits you. You need to know the length between your neck and the center of the left palm. The violin size determined by the root of the neck/palm would be the largest size students should use.
Now you know how to choose the right violin for you. However, if you have a teacher, we recommend consulting your teacher's recommendations. If you don't have a teacher, we recommend using the "medium neck/hand" approach for students who don't work full size.
